  Hall of Fame

  Inductions to be held

  The Luzerne County Sports Hall of Fame will hold its 23rd annual induction banquet Sunday, May 27, at the Ramada Inn, Wilkes-Barre.

  This year's inductees for the Hall will include Ruby Carmon, Michael Koury, William Krywicki, David Kuhl, Jean Lipski, Jack Mascioli, Joseph O'Hara, Linda Pesotski, Joyce Tinner, Gary Vanderburg, Bruce Weinstock and Matthew Wincek. The Hall of Fame will also induct Al Bedner and Tony Latone posthumously.

  Special recognition is also being given to retired LCCC basketball coach James T. Atherton.

  Loring honored by MAC

  King's softball standout Becky Loring has been named MAC Freedom Conference player of the week.

  Loring led the Monarchs to a 6-0 week, with eight hits, including two doubles and two home runs, and eight RBI.
